Kaja: Embracing Balance and Healing Through Yoga from Norway to Sydney

 

From the serene landscapes of northern Norway to the vibrant shores of Sydney’s Bondi Beach, Kaja has journeyed across continents, guided by her profound connection to yoga and the healing power of the ocean. A trained Actor and Dancer, Kaja’s path towards becoming a seasoned yoga teacher was shaped by her tumultuous teens, where she first encountered Iyengar Yoga—a practice that would later anchor her life’s work.

In 2013, Kaja fulfilled her dream of completing her 500-hour Teacher Training at Qi Yoga, Freshwater Beach. This milestone was just the beginning, as she continued her education with diverse programs including Zenergy Kids Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Meditation under esteemed mentors like Lorraine Rushton and Antoinette Sampson. Kaja’s thirst for knowledge is unending, reflecting her belief that a true teacher remains a perpetual student.

Today, Kaja’s influence extends throughout Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where she teaches at various studios and conducts private classes and workshops. Her teaching style, described as playful, rejuvenating, and restorative, embodies her philosophy of finding ‘balance in a busy world’. She emphasizes that yoga is not just a physical practice but a transformative journey towards self-love and connection with nature—the essence of her Viking roots.

Beyond yoga, Kaja is a multifaceted healer and educator. She is a certified Sound Healer, Qi Gong Meditation teacher, and a skilled Massage and Reiki Therapist. Her workshops are meticulously crafted to delve deep into yoga’s themes, offering participants a holistic experience that nurtures both body and spirit.

Kaja’s impact transcends studio walls. She has spoken at prestigious events including the Mind Body Spirit Festival and TED talks on Yoga and Well Being. Her engaging and authentic presence captivates audiences, blending profound knowledge with a refreshing sense of humor.
